1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Wasilak (واصلك) Gas Store Platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This Platform is licensed by the Ministry of Energy & Minerals, Sultanate of Oman, and operated under OPAL (Oman's Public Authority for Electricity and Water) guidelines.

2. Platform Purpose

Wasilak is a government-mandated digital infrastructure for tracking, managing, and auditing LPG cylinder distribution across the Sultanate of Oman. All transactions recorded on this Platform are subject to government audit and VAT reporting requirements.

3. Store Manager Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records at all times
• Scan every cylinder on receipt and dispatch — manual override is prohibited
• Comply with all cylinder flagging and safety recall orders immediately
• Operate only within your licensed governorate
• Maintain accurate working hour records visible to distributors
• Report any suspected cylinder tampering or weight discrepancy
• Retain all platform-generated invoices for minimum 5 years

4. Prohibited Activities

You must not: transfer flagged cylinders; falsify scan records; sell to unlicensed distributors; operate outside licensed premises; circumvent the platform's QR tracking system; share login credentials with unauthorized personnel.

5. Government Audit Rights

The Ministry of Energy & Minerals and OPAL retain the right to access all your Platform records, transaction history, invoice records, and cylinder scan logs at any time, without prior notice, for regulatory compliance purposes.

6. Omani Law Compliance

This Platform and all its operations are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. All disputes shall be resolved under Omani jurisdiction. VAT of 5% applies to all transactions in accordance with the Income Tax Law.

7. Liability

The Platform Operator is not liable for losses arising from: regulatory suspension of your account; cylinder flagging by government authorities; system downtime for scheduled maintenance; force majeure events.

8. Account Termination

Your account may be suspended or terminated by government order, for non-compliance with these terms, or for failure to maintain an active OPAL license. You will receive 48 hours notice except in cases of safety-related emergency suspension.

9. Governing Language

In case of any conflict between the Arabic and English versions of these Terms, the Arabic version shall prevail as the official legal document.

1. Data We Collect

We collect: your mobile number, Omani Civil ID or store license number, governorate and GPS location data, cylinder scan events, transaction records, invoice data, and platform usage analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To operate the national LPG cylinder tracking system
• To generate VAT-compliant invoices for government submission
• To run the anti-cheating audit algorithm (bulk gas vs cylinders filled)
• To share audit data with the Ministry of Energy & Minerals and OPAL
• To detect safety violations and trigger cylinder flags
• To send you operational notifications (orders, alerts, recalls)

3. Data Sharing

Your data may be shared with: the Ministry of Energy & Minerals (Oman); OPAL; the Omani Tax Authority (for VAT records); law enforcement by court order; your supply chain partners (fillers and distributors you transact with). Your data is never sold to advertisers.

4. Data Retention

Cylinder scan records: 10 years. Invoice records: 7 years (tax law requirement). Account data: retained while your account is active plus 2 years after closure. GPS location data: 90 days rolling window.

5. Your Rights

Under Oman's Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to: access your data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements); object to processing; lodge a complaint with the relevant authority.

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Platform servers are hosted within the Sultanate of Oman. We conduct quarterly security audits and maintain ISO 27001 certification.

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for session management and analytics cookies to improve the platform. You may disable analytics cookies in Settings without affecting platform functionality.
